About Screwed End Piston Valve
Full port forged steel isolation valves capable of operating at a maximum pressure of 1973 PSIG/136Barg & temperature of 800°F/427°C. Piston Valves with burnished pistons and metal reinforced graphite rings have leak-proof shut-off and can be operated at higher temperatures, as well as having a longer life span.
BSPT, NPT, and socket welded ends are available on piston valves. We can supply flanged ends upon request. The piston valve is ideal for saturated and superheated steam, and hot water.
Feature of Piston Valves :
- Isolation that prevents leaks
- Available in sizes from 1/2"/15mm to 1-1/2"/40mm
- Connectivity options: threaded or socket welded
- ANSI-compliant
- Cavitation-proof
- Sealing valves can be easily replaced in-line
- Operation on a long-term basis. After many years without operation, piston valves can still actuate
- Exceptional fire-proofing

High-Performance SealingThis piston valve boasts a leakproof double chamber design with renewable PTFE or alloy seats, ensuring dependable sealing and extended service life. The choice of packing types like graphite or PTFE offers optimal adaptability for different media, effectively reducing the risk of leakage in pipelines handling steam, gas, water, or oil.
Versatile Design and OperationThe valve's straight or angle pattern shape and range of port sizes (1/2 to 2 inch) accommodate installation in confined spaces. Handwheel operation allows precise manual control, suitable for applications requiring reliable shut-off performance under a pressure range of 16 to 25 bar and working temperatures up to 220C.
Durable Construction and Easy MaintenanceManufactured with forged carbon steel or stainless steel, this valve features a robust body and bonnet material. The easy in-line maintenance process helps minimize downtime and maintenance cost, making it a practical choice for distributors, suppliers, and end-users in India and abroad.
FAQ's of Screwed End Piston Valve:
Q: How does the leakproof double chamber design benefit the Screwed End Piston Valve?
A: The double chamber sealing system enhances leakproof performance, reducing the potential for media escape and providing reliable operation in high-pressure and high-temperature pipeline applications.
Q: What is the process for performing in-line maintenance on this piston valve?
A: Thanks to its modular construction, maintenance can be performed without removing the valve from the pipeline, making it quicker and reducing operational downtime. The renewable seats allow for easy replacement or servicing as needed.
Q: When should I choose a PTFE seat versus an alloy seat?
A: PTFE seats are ideal for corrosive or chemically aggressive media, while alloy seats are better suited for extremely high temperatures or abrasive conditions, allowing customization based on the application's requirements.
Q: Where can these valves be installed, considering their size and shape?
A: With port sizes from 1/2 to 2 inches and straight or angle patterns, these valves are suitable for both compact and standard installations on steam, gas, water, and oil pipelines in industrial, utility, and process plants.
Q: How does handwheel operation improve valve handling?
A: Handwheel operation enables precise manual control over the valve, facilitating accurate flow regulation, which is essential for safeguarding systems that handle critical media under varying pressures.
Q: What are the benefits of the valve's forged steel bonnet and body material?
A: The use of forged carbon steel or stainless steel ensures enhanced strength, corrosion resistance, and longevity, making the valve suitable for demanding service environments.
