About Buttweld Piston Valve
Buttweld Piston Valve is a precision tool designed for pressure control applications. The piston valve is typically used to control the flow of liquids, fluid distribution, among others. It is a precision tool designed and developed in our state of the art production division making the best use of pioneering tools and techniques. The piston valve has got rugged construction and resilience, therefore, it does not degrade in quality or become inferior in the long run. Buttweld Piston Valve is easy to use and maintain. Our customers can get this premium-grade tool at a cost-effective price.
Full port forged steel isolation valves with a maximum operating pressure of 1973 psig/136 Barg and a maximum operating temperature of 800F/427C. The burnished piston and metal reinforced graphite rings provide leak-proof shut off and allow Piston Valves to be operated at higher temperatures, while also extending operating life.
Piston Valves are available in Socket Weld, BSPT, and NPT end connections. Flanged ends can be supplied upon request. Piston Valves are ideal for saturated and superheated steam, and hot water applications.

Exceptional Tight ShutoffThis piston valve ensures zero leak tight shutoff due to its advanced sealing technology, including renewable PTFE or GR.316 seats. Such design offers optimal operational safety and efficiency for critical fluid management under rigorous industrial conditions.
High-Quality Materials and ConstructionCrafted from forged carbon steel and stainless steel variants, both the valve body and bonnet offer exceptional durability. These reliable materials withstand corrosion and high temperatures, ensuring extended service life even in demanding environments.
Versatile ApplicationsSuitable for media like water, oil, gas, steam, and air, these valves serve broad industrial requirements. With pressure ratings up to PN40 and temperature resistance to 425C, they promise high performance across a variety of fluid handling tasks.
FAQ's of Buttweld Piston Valve:
Q: How does the buttweld end connection benefit piston valve installation?
A: The buttweld end connection offers a secure and seamless fit, reducing the risk of leakage and improving the valve's structural integrity. It is perfect for high-pressure and high-temperature applications requiring robust connections.
Q: What materials are used for the body and bonnet of the piston valve?
A: The body and bonnet are crafted from forged steel, SS304, or SS316, providing excellent durability and resistance to corrosion. The material choice depends on application needs and compatibility with the media handled.
Q: When should you use renewable PTFE or GR.316 seats in these valves?
A: Renewable PTFE or GR.316 seats are ideal for situations where frequent maintenance or replacement is needed to uphold zero leak performance, particularly in environments that demand consistent shutoff and sealing efficiency.
Q: Where can these valves be applied in industrial setups?
A: These valves are suited for installations in steam generation, air and gas handling, and liquid transfer systems. They cater to water, oil, gas distribution networks and fit perfectly in industrial facilities across India.
Q: What is the benefit of Class VI leakage classification in piston valves?
A: Class VI leakage ensures virtually zero leakage during shutoff, making these valves reliable for sensitive applications requiring absolute fluid isolation and safeguarding operational safety.
Q: How do you operate this piston valve?
A: The valve is manually operated through a handwheel, offering precise flow regulation and straightforward control suitable for high reliability and low-maintenance environments.
